Long-term strategy and goals for the Flügger Group

Vision 
The Flügger Group aims to be an international supplier of decorative paint and products for surface treatment.

Mission
In a quality and cost-efficient way, we manufacture, distribute and market a wide and co-ordinated assortment of paint, wood stain, wallpaper, wall coverings and natural accessories for our customers.

Strategy part 1: We are expanding abroad
We are expanding our activities in Poland and China. In Poland we are building a factory and warehouse, and the number of Flügger shops will be more than doubled. We will initiate production in China of decorative paints and increase our purchasing activities.

Strategy part 2: High level of activity in Scandinavia continues
Flügger and PP Mester Maling will focus on professional painters and decorators. We will continue our branding of Flügger on the consumer markets and aim for more shops, especially in Sweden and Norway. Our subsidiary, DAY-system, concentrates on a modern and attractive self-service product programme as well as chemical products for vehicles.

Strategy part 3: We think and act more efficiently
The entire Group works with LEAN. Our warehouses must be adjusted for greater demand. We automate production and move labour-intensive manufacture to the East. Furthermore, we aim at design and product development. We prioritize eco-friendly products and the professional development of our staff.

Conclusion:
Towards 2010 we expect an annual increase of 5-10% with an EBIT margin of between 8 and 10%. We aim at organic, profitable growth in addition to the independence of the Group.
