The Flügger Group has strengthened its Swedish organisation by bringing in Rasmus Mälarborn as the new Country Manager for Sweden. The change is effective from the 1st of April. He will be responsible for the entire Swedish business, including both the B2B and B2C segments.
Sweden is a strategic core market for Flügger, and the recruitment is part of the Group’s efforts to strengthen its presence in the Nordic region. The goal is to thereby ensure continued commercial development in the region. In recent years, Flügger has worked purposefully to consolidate and develop its business in Sweden. Now, the plan is to keep building on that foundation.
Rasmus Mälarborn is thus returning to Flügger. Seven years ago, he was part of the organisation as a B2B Sales Manager during a period of extensive organisational change in the Nordic region. Since then, he has taken on a Nordic role, responsible for commercial development in Sweden, Denmark and Norway. The focus has been on structure, growth and change management.
“I have nothing but positive memories of my past experience at Flügger. Particularly regarding the people and the culture. It was a tough but very enjoyable time, during which we built a platform for the future. Being able to return in a new role is both inspiring and motivating,” says Rasmus Mälarborn.
According to Anders Klamer, Senior Vice President of the Flügger Group, the recruitment comes at a time when the Swedish business is on a stable footing and ready for the next stage of development:
“Right now, we have strong momentum at Flügger Sweden. After a few challenging years, we are back on track. We are performing well and have a solid foundation, so the next step is to continue the positive work that has already begun. Rasmus is the right person for the job. He has in-depth industry knowledge, clear leadership skills, and a strong understanding of the business and its people,” he says.
Flügger has a unique position in the market by controlling large parts of the value chain – from the development and production of paint and filler to tools and accessories. This enables the Group to offer customers with comprehensive, high-quality solutions and highly reliable delivery services.
As Country Manager, Rasmus Mälarborn will be responsible for further developing cooperation with both professional painting companies and private consumers in Sweden. Focus will be on partnerships, service and commercial strength.
