Time is money, especially for the professional painter. For painters, the time to dry, ease of application and several other parameters affect the profitability of a project. In addition, the requirements of construction projects across the Nordic region are increasing. Both when it comes to labelling and documentation of, for example, the carbon footprint.
For the benefit of both the environment and painters, Flügger launches the complete H₂O system with eco-labelled wet room products. With Flügger’s Dekso H₂O wet room paint, it is easier for professional and private painters to choose eco-labelled and time-saving paint, primer, adhesive and spackle.
“The H₂O wet room system is optimised for a time-saving application process. Thus allowing you to complete a wet room significantly faster than before, but with the same high Flügger quality. This is mainly because the time it takes to dry between coats has been shortened. As a result, you don’t have to wait as long to apply the next coat. In practice, the processing time is reduced from 6 to 4 days or by 33%,” says Mikkel Boelskifte, Country Manager for Flügger Group in Denmark.
The H₂O series has the Nordic Swan eco-label and occupies a place in the market where there is great demand. For Flügger, it is important to deliver what the painters and their employees look for.
“We are very pleased to launch a comprehensive range of Nordic Swan Eco-labelled wet room products. The H₂O series is yet another product that makes it easy for painters throughout the Nordic region to choose highly efficient and eco-labelled products with all the documentation in place,” says Mikkel Boelskifte.
Flügger Dekso H₂O has a semi-matt, dirt-repellent and water-resistant surface. This wall paint for wet rooms can be tinted in any colour and has a high coverage. The semi-matt surface provides a subtle sheen and impressive coverage. It is ideal for spaces with high demands on both form and functionality as it resists moisture, frequent soiling and daily wear and tear. It is also easy to clean with water, brush or cloth and non-abrasive cleaning agents.
Flügger’s Dekso H₂O wet room paint comes only a month after Flügger launched Dekso AÏR. Dekso AÏR is the world’s first paint to carry the joint Nordic asthma and allergy label, as well as the three most well-known and recognised labels: Nordic Ecolabel, M1 and the EU Flower.

In accordance with Section 107d of the Danish Financial Statements Act, Flügger has defined diversity targets for the composition of the group’s Board of Directors, Executive Board, and overall workforce.
When appointing the members in Flügger group A/S elected by the general meeting, we focus on both diversity and the individual members’ competencies and experience. Our goal is to ensure gender balance and a broad skill set aligned with the company’s core and strategic priorities.
We have defined specific targets for gender representation and independence on the Board:
The management of Flügger group A/S consists of three members: the CEO, CFO, and majority shareholder Ulf Schnack, who has been actively involved in the company since 1958.
Flügger has chosen not to define specific diversity targets for the management. This is because we prioritise insight, experience and relevant competencies when appointing executive members.
Flügger aims for a gender composition in other management levels and the overall workforce where the underrepresented gender constitutes at least 40% (40/60%), aligning with the objective for the composition of the Board of Directors.
Flügger’s recruitment principles and guidelines further support Flügger’s diversity objectives and policy.
We continuously strive to ensure diversity both at the leadership level and across all employee groups.
Our efforts are based on the following principles:
At Flügger, we believe that a diverse workplace and an inclusive work environment are valuable assets. We recognize and value individual differences and believe that diverse teams – including leadership – drive innovation, make better decisions and foster openness and tolerance across the organisation.
Flügger is committed to being a responsible employer. We recruit, promote and develop employees based on their skills and in a manner that supports diversity. This includes ensuring equal treatment regardless of gender, gender identity, social origin, sexual orientation, age, nationality, physical ability, disability, political beliefs, ethnicity, family status, religious beliefs or other ideologies.
In accordance with Section 107f of the Danish Financial Statements Act, we report annually on gender distribution in the Board of Directors and leadership levels in our annual report. For further data, please refer to our latest annual report here.
