This summer, EUPD invited Flügger to have its annual report and Sustainability Statement assessed. This occurred as part of this year’s European assessment pool. Following a detailed evaluation, the EUPD has concluded that Flügger is among the companies in Europe that demonstrate the highest degree of transparency in their ESG reporting. With a score of 87.87%, Flügger ranks firmly within the Excellence Class (75–100%). Thus, Flügger is in the same league as the most forward-looking reporting practices in Europe.

– “We are proud of our annual report, which we have invested considerable resources in. Therefore, it means a lot to us that EUPD rates our transparency as being in the absolute top tier. It is recognition of both our sustainability work and the way we document it,” says Anette Beck, Senior Vice President, Supply Chain & Innovation at Flügger.

Transparency as a competitive parameter

The EUPD Group grants the ESG Transparency Award, which is based on the most relevant European and international standards for sustainability reporting. The purpose is to highlight companies that manage to provide real insight into their sustainability efforts – not just meet minimum requirements.

In a time of constantly changing regulations and political decisions, EUPD honours companies that have integrated forward-looking sustainability concepts into their business and communicate them openly and comprehensively. The award winners demonstrate that sustainability is not only a regulatory requirement. It is also a strategic competitive advantage.

– “For Flügger, transparency is not just about meeting requirements. It is about building trust. Clear and thorough reporting is essential for our customers to understand our ambitions and our efforts. And the areas where we still have work to do,” concludes Anette Beck.

In total, more than 50 leading European companies received an ESG Transparency Award this year. Through the awards, EUPD aims to raise the standards for future ESG reporting and promote transparency as a key parameter for responsible and modern corporate governance.
